The Secret Of Parenting

Parenting is one of the more difficult and most enjoyable jobs you’ll ever have. A child can touch our hearts and drive us nuts at the same time. Since parenting is so hard, here are a few tips that can help make parenting a bit less stressful for you and your child.

  • Spend some time to talk about your family history with your children.
Stories about your ancestors can fascinate your children, and they need to hear about their heritage. Show them oldfamily pictures as you tell them stories of their family. You will enrich your child’s life and help them to connect.
  • How do you know when to start potty traing?
There are skills your child needs to havebefore they can successfully potty train. First, they need to be able to remove their own clothing. Also, must have some control over their bladder and bowel movements. Second, the child needs to be able to tell you if there are any difficulties. If your child can do these things, the best way to start is to model the appropriate actions for the child and practice with them.
Explain to them as they use the potty that this how we do it. Don’t forget the value of rewards.
Maybe use a chart with stars on it for each successful attempt and give a reward after a few times.
  • You can soothe your baby with your scent.
A newborn child recognizes the smell of hermom and is soothed by the scent, the baby then feels safe and secure. Sleep with her bedding for a night, so it picks up your scent. Your smell will help to soothe her to sleep when you are gone.
  • Naturally, many parents punish thier children for poor behavior.
Many parentsinstinctively punish their children with the mistaken belief that punishment acts as to deter bad behavior and will bring about good behavior. While punishment can deter bad behavior in the short
term, it does not help the child understand why the behavior was wrong or what the alternative behavior should be. It is much more important to communicate with the child to help them understand the differences between right and wrong. They will then be able to apply the principles to other situations and act accordingly.
